Sturgis E. Chadwick III, senior partner and co-founder of Chadwick & Lakerdas, grew up in Illinois and has been practicing law here for over 30 years.
Mr. Chadwick’s dedication to excellence and strong work ethic helped him graduate at the top of his class at John Marshall Law School. From there, Sturgis spent some time working at a large personal injury firm. After a year and a half Mr. Chadwick started his own firm with James G. Lakerdas, offering personalized legal assistance to those injured by the negligence of others.
Mr. Chadwick is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyer Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Northern District of Illinois, and is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Florida state and federal court. Mr. Chadwick specializes in personal injury and criminal law but is also extremely competent in workers’ compensation and medical malpractice.
James G. Lakerdas
Partner
James G. Lakerdas, senior partner and co-founder of Chadwick & Lakerdas also graduated from John Marshall Law School and has been practicing law for over 30 years in Chicago. Mr. Lakerdas specializes in personal injury law and workers’ compensation law but also excels in areas relating to medical malpractice law and product liability law.
Mr. Lakerdas’ hard work and dedication to Chadwick & Lakerdas has helped build the firm from the ground up and with the help of Sturgis E. Chadwick has made Chadwick & Lakerdas a successful business. Mr. Lakerdas is licensed to practice law in Illinois state court and federal court. Mr. Lakerdas is also bilingual, fluent in both English and Greek.
Michael G. Kelly
Of Counsel
Michael G. Kelly, of counsel to the firm, graduated from DePaul University Law School in 2001 and has been practicing law with Chadwick & Lakerdas since 2005. Mr. Kelly specializes in consumer fraud but also commands a strong understanding of personal injury law.
Mr. Kelly displays an aptitude for success and hard work both in the firm and in the community. Mr. Kelly earned an Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service from the Judges of the Untied States Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Kelly’s care for the community speaks volumes about Mr. Kelly’s character and clients can expect the same degree of care when Mr. Kelly handles their cases.
